   My it's quiet in here.   
      
   I had a Lite-On CD and whatever reader-writer box in a Syqyest 44 case,   
   which worked for a while, and then halted booting. Thought it was a bus   
   problem.   
      
   Thought I had solved most bus problems, so tried again, by changing ACARD   
   cards. A version 3.79 came  out, a version 3.64 went in, and all is well   
   again. I do not think it is a version problem, but a dead card. It   
   prevented proper booting with the card connected to the scsi bus but not   
   to the IDE drive. That should be a major clue to a dead ACARD problem.   
      
   Do not give up yet.
