   Yes.

Our local Atari dealer was Software Alternatives. Had a really great guy
for the owner - encouraged everyone coming through the door to grab stuff
and play with it. He sold hardware, software, and did repairs. One time, I
managed to blow parts of a SC1224 monitor and my ST's sound chip up, when
I tried to put stereo speakers in the monitor. I took it to him for
repairs and he had it done the next day - he asked me if I had tried to
hook the monitor up to an Amiga...I laughed so hard I almost cried. :)

One of the saddest days ever for me, when he announced he was closing up
shop. Still, it was a happy ending of sorts. This guy made a small fortune
off Atari, and when he read the writing on the wall, he managed to get out
while the getting was good and retired to somewhere in Florida. Last I
heard, he was still doing great. I'm always glad to hear those kinds of
stories, instead of the usual "I lost xxx money with Atari" kind. :)
