The TI, Sega and Spectrum computers mattered       little to us because we were C64 owners and were there to check out the       latest game(s) that came in stock. The display computers were all powered       up and functioning and the staff almost never left the counter, i guess       they figured kids weren't going to buy the hardware so why bother. They       would happily open a software package for us to "try" if they thought there       was a sale in it though.              What they didn't realise is we often went down there with a copy of Fast       Hack'Em, asked to see the latest game then copied it and went home :)              In earlier times before I got my C64, I would go to K-Mart with my parents       and while they sought out whatever it was they were going to buy I sat       myself down in front of the demo C64 and kept myself busy. After a full       year or so of doing that one turned up for Christmas :)              Mike              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
