XPost: comp.sys.atari.st.tech       From: mc11@gmx.de              Hello,              I havenīt used an ATARI for internet a LONG time, but I still have my former       TT emulated via MagiC-PC on my PC. I just checked the folders and have seen       that years ago I had installed STING (not STIK) from Peter Rottengatter on       my (now virtual) ATARI. So here is the folder and file name arrangement:              In my "AUTO"-folder there are 2 files, which are the STING.PRG itself and a       simple Textfile called STING.INF that just contains information of the       folder, where the actual STING related stuff is placed (in my case there is       only one line in the file: "C:\STING\" (without the quotes).              So in my case the folder has to be on C:\ in a folder called "STING". In       this folder all the rest of STING is placed. There you also find the file       DEFAULT.CFG, which contains in my case the following information:              #       # This is the STinG relevant stuff.       #       ALLOCMEM = 256000       #       THREADING = 50       FRAG_TTL = 60       #       ICMP_GMT = -60       ICMP_AD = 10       ICMP_FLAG = 0       #       TCP_PORT = 1024       MSS = 2048       RCV_WND = 4096       DEF_RTT = 50       DEF_TTL = 128       TCP_ICMP = 1       #       UDP_PORT = 1024       UDP_ICMP = 1       #       DNS_CACHE = 64       DNS_SAVE = TRUE       #       #       # Here starts the client relevant stuff.       #       # Used by the Dialer :       #       DIALER = 127.0.0.1       #LOGIN_BATCH = C:\STING\DIALER\LOGIN.BAT       #                     You see, besides some basic TCP/IP parameters, the last line shows the       location of the dialer login script...              So, go for STING by Peter Rottengatter. There you should also find a       hypertext for STGUIDE, which should give all the information you need.              Best regards,       Mario.                     "Bravo Sierra Computers" |
