With no floppy in the floppy drive, you'll       also have to wait longer for a bootup.              > So, do I need a special driver for the Mega? I'd hook the SH205 to the Mega ST and       boot up with the hard drive software on a floppy in the floppy drive and       see what it reports.              > I'd like to use the Mega as it has more memory. Also, can I       > take the memory from the Mega and put it in the STe?              Oh, the floppy is dead - hmm, then you can't boot up with your hard drive       software. You'll need to get the floppy working to do that - that software       can tell you a lot more about what is going on.              Depending on the drive "face" you can swap them out - but the Atari drives       came with large eject buttons, small eject buttons, etc - you should be       able to look at it and see if it will fit or not.              I don't think, unless its some 3rd party/aftermarket board in the Mega ST,       that you can swap memory - the STe uses SIMMs.              > Any pointers appreciated.              There'll be others answer this thread - help is coming! :)              Hope this helps in the meantime.              --       Welcome To DarkForce! www.darkforce.org "The Fuji Lives.!"       An Atari SW/HW based BBS - Telnet:darkforce-bbs.dyndns.org              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
