Problem might be parity. Stacy is no parity, and even drives with a no
parity jumper do not work some times. One work around, if you can build
small and neat, is a parity generator chip. If you can wire one of those
in, you can use a drive with parity.

: I have open (at last!) my STACY and wanted to change the HD.
: I have a SCSI 160MB that runs well on the TT.
: I put it into the STACY and get a strange problem :

: when powered on, it signals a short-circuit! (is it the right word? I
: mean that electricity is connected from + to -) and the alimentation
   : makes a caracteristical noise.
: If I just unplug the power cord of the new HD, it's ok.

: But this HD worked few minutes before!!!

: On the main board I can read +5V, gnd, gnd, +12V and the four wires are
: correctly directed to the same pins on the hard drive...

   : HELP !!!

   : Guillaume.
