   I looked into USB about 8-9 years ago.   
      
   As far as I can remember there are three different levels of driver   
   OHCI and EHCI etc. The more sophisticated ones require less work to   
   be done by the CPU which is probably better for a 680x0 based   
   stack.   
      
   I tried to find some info on the BSD websites that might point in the   
   right direction but drew a blank.   
      
   Everyone told me it is not an easy task to add USB into the kernel   
   but since it has been done for Linux and various BSDs there must   
   be some expertise out there and maybe someone who would enjoy   
   implementing it again ?
