OK, it seems that EasyMiNT isn't the best way to do what I want.
   Here it is :
1- all partitions from C to P are for TOS and must be readable by TOS
    applications. So, no "exotic" format.
2- I may have to switch back to MagiC! in some cases - like now, as I
need to access LFNs and run some applications that would not run
correctly under plain TOS -, so some MagiC! related stuff may occupy
some space on those TOS partitions.
3- MiNT unix stuff *must* install on a partition above P. As Q is
reserved for archiving data before they are backuped, the next free
    one is R.

Now, what happens when I try to install :
0- R is partitionned as LNX type with HD²Driver 8.22 utility. Q is a
4095 MB partitionned as F32 type and contains ~3000 MB data at this
time. Q is fully readable under MagiC!. No probllem with it.
EasyMiNT folder with BASIC, NET and STANDARD packages is temporarily
stored on O, from which it will be run.
1- if I run EasyMiNT from plain TOS, it will complain that MiNT must be
started from AUTO folder, and bring me back to desktop. So,
2- I install a very light MiNT stuff on C, with cnf only launching XaAES.
XaAES cnf itself only handles display resolution, sets HOME & CLIPBRD,
and launches THING desktop. It might hardly be lighter...
3- Then, if I start EasyMiNT, it finds R as LNX and starts installing,
achieving step 1/6. But, when at step 2/6, as it would create MINT
folder on to C, it quits with error, because MINT already exists where
it wants to create it. And I can't either erase this folder, as it is
hold by the system at the time MiNT is running.
4- So, I decide to specify another temporary destination for MINT folder.
It will be N until installation is complete, and then I reboot to MagiC!
from which I erase MINT folder on C and transfer MINT folder from N to C.
I do this, and everything seems to go fine (except I have to press ESC
once when it creates the AUTO folder, and three other times after this
step, else nothing seems to happen, no matter the time I wait), and the
    system reboots.
5- At this step, the installation ought to restart at the point it was
before reboot, but as MINT is on N, it doesn't. So, I restart it manually
and it begins unpacking and copying unix stuff to R, which it obviusly
can't achieve, according to the error messages it displays until it ends.
I reboot to MagiC!, erase the MINT folder I created on C and tranfer the
one EasyMiNT created on N, then I edit both MiNT and XaAES cnf files to
match the real place (C instead of N).
6- When I reboot under MiNT, it states that R has to be checked, then can't
launch fschek, then tries to launch SH.TOS, which it can't find, and then
reverts to it's internal shel, from which I can't do anything - neither
execute TOS, PRG, APP programs, nor the SH and FSCHECK.SH stuff that are
into C:\MINT\BIN -. I tried all this, the only thing I could do then was
to type exit and reboot to MagiC!.
So, from what I could understand, R ought to be ext2 type, but as it
    obviously isn't, nothing can work.

I know there must not be much people that need to install to partitions
above P... but, hey! it had to happen, hadn't it ?
Well, if anyone has any idea on how I could do this...

   Regards,
