   Atari setup shouldn't make a difference, I'm using hd in my lighthouse   
   towered ste, and have no problem. My mste came with a hd drive. The floppy   
   lines on the st's are connected in parallel with each other. That's why you   
   are able to have 2 external drives daisy chained, if you disconnect the   
   internal one.
