   NOVEMBER 29, 1972 -- ATARI ANNOUNCES RELEASE OF PONG -- In this March   
   8, 2005 photo, Atari co-founder Nolan Bushnell, the man who produced   
   the minimalist but memorable game "Pong" smiles next to his star in San

   Pong, released by Atari on Nov. 29, 1972, was one of the first video
