   Michael,

I’m not going to speculate about someone else’s state of mind, nor am I
inclined to turn long-running disagreements into a catalogue of personal
   defects.

I’ve been on Usenet long enough to have seen people say regrettable —
sometimes quite extreme — things when they’re angry, entrenched, or
simply fed up. Quoting them years later rarely clarifies much, and it
   seldom improves matters.

I’m not interested in acting as an adjudicator, and I’m certainly not
looking to revisit old grievances. From where I sit, this has gone well
past the point of being productive for anyone involved.

I’d prefer to leave it there and move on.

   Warm regards,

   David
