One time I rented from an older couple who had bought a TI/       99, well, because you had to have a computer. They pointed to it and said       'Feel free. Maybe you can figure out something to do with it.'              Ironically my next job used the TMS9900. The project required a rad-hard       processor and TI was one of the few manufacturers interested in that       segment.              The same job was also the only time I saw Macs being used for       documentation. It was the same idea; the original toasters met the TEMPEST       requirements of the day.              I never did anything with the TI/99. When you're writing Z80 assembler 10       hours a day I preferred other activities in my down time.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
