   It's like "comprise": if you feel you need an "of", use "consists" -   
   "comprises of", or (worse) "is comprised of", is wrong.   
   (Use "consists of".)   
      
   And yes, I know the language evolves, so saying something is wrong is in   
   itself wrong. But there are limits! And where there _are_ words that   
   _can_ be used _with_ the "of", use them, don't (mis)use the others!
