Hmmmmmm...maybe because Mac users actually want to accomplish TASKS with
   their computers.

I admit, when there were utilities for customizing the look of Mac OS
back in the day, I played with them...

   ...but it was PLAY.

You're basically arguing how silly it is that all cars using boring
"steering wheels" and the same two-pedal (or three-pedal) arrangement.

   LOLOLOLOLOLOL!

I wear a toque when I'm outside and it's cold; mostly when I ski (which
I admit, since I tore my ACL, I no longer do very often). Former
   instructor, BTW.

I occasional buy a Starbucks, but it's usually because there is one that
is very convenient (i.e. open early enough) for me when I'm on my way
out to the the race track to either race my 1998 Formula F Van Diemen
   RF98 Honda...

...or to teach road racing to new students.

Mostly I make my own coffee and brew it by the cup in an AeroPress from
beans I grind by the cup.

Oh, and I play hockey 2-4 times a week, and when I play regularly, I'm a
   single-digit handicap golfer...

...and I've been a world championship competitor in sailing.

So sorry not to have lived up to this fantasy you've constructed.
