   ...and I finally received a prompt!   
      
   There was red badge on the Settings app, and when I opened it, there was   
   a suggestion (with no dire warnings at all, mind you!) that I start   
   using iCloud, and a few words about the advantages it offers.   
      
   I tapped "Not now" and it's gone!
