   My car supports both Carplay and Android Auto and from my perspective Apple   
   has come a long way. Like you regarding the Maps. I can say "Hey Siri, take me   
   home using Waze" and it will. My car also has built in voice recognition so   
   that's   
   also an option.   
   Substitute Apple Maps, Google Maps for Waze and siri/Carplay will do that as   
   well.
