   I'm also retired and I have been retired for 15 year.   
      
   I try to understand not only the Apple ecosystem, but also the Apple users.   
      
   Both are not normal so it is NOT intuitive.   
      
   Without going deeply, the entire Apple ecosystem is brilliant propaganda by   
   one of the slickest marketing organizations in the world. It's never what   
   Apple says it is. That's what is so interesting about Apple products.   
      
   Everything that people think they know about the Apple ecosystem is fed to   
   them by Apple (e.g., "it just works") when it's almost always a brazen lie.   
      
   Given how slick the Apple propaganda is, the "typical Apple user" is also   
   interesting because they fall for every marketing trick in the book.   
      
   The Apple owner tends to be a cultist whose very ego is tied to the   
   product, which is why the Apple user on this ng is so interesting to me.   
      
   Most Apple posters on this newsgroup hate me because I don't fall for the   
   tricks so I don't belong to the cult, but I find them very interesting as a   
   result.
