   There are also benefits to the design, though. And one component does not tell   
   the whole story.

   There are tradeoffs. What Apple does allows for lower power use, improves data   
   security, allows for smaller boards, reduces heat, and makes sure all   
   components are known which simplifies QA and the like.   
      
   Does not mean that upgradability and repairability are not harmed, nor that   
   these are not significant. They absolutely are.
