Having appropriate context is always important.

For the 2019 time period, it appears that the most popular Android
tablets from that era was the original "Galaxy Tab S6" and the "Galaxy
   Tab A".

   The A was supported up to Android 11 /One UI 3.1 ... ended 12/2022.

The S6 was supported up to Android 12 ... its support ended 3/2025.

There was also the Amazon Fire HD 10 (9th Gen); its last supported OS
version was 7.3.3.1, which was from sometime prior to July 2025.

Meantime, Apple had dropped an update (now on hold, apparently due to a
bug) for some older products which weren't compatible with newer
versions of iOS. This drop was the releases of iOS 18.7.4, iOS 16.7.13,
   iOS 15.8.6, & iOS 12.5.8.

Granted, this was probably more to provide compatibility support for the
updated Apple Airtags, but it also extended the life of this old
hardware from expiring security certificates too:

"iOS 12.5.8 is available for the iPhone 5s and the ‌iPhone‌ 6, meaning
Apple is continuing to support these devices for 13 and 12 years after
launch, respectively. The ‌iPhone‌ 5s came out in September 2013, while
   the ‌iPhone‌ 6 launched in September 2014.

According to Apple's release notes for the update, iOS 12.5.8 extends
the certificate required for features like iMessage, FaceTime, and
device activation, so they will continue to work after January 2027."
