   I must thank "News" for posting that "PKB" for two reasons, one of which is   
   that I didn't know what it meant so I looked it up to be edified as I read   
   every post on this newsgroup except those from Alan, Joerg, Snit, et al.   
      
   PKB = "Pot Calling the Kettle Black"   
          It's a shorthand way of saying someone is accusing another person of   
          something they themselves are guilty of. Basically: hypocrisy alert.   
      
          Example:   
          If someone who's always late complains that you are late,   
          someone might say, "PKB".   
      
   In keeping with being extremely nice while still being very technical so   
   that I help as many people on this newsgroup as possible (and they help me   
   in turn), I think we can all get along well if we simply avoid the kinds of   
   personal attacks that occur when people don't like the facts as presented.   
      
   I, for one, am striving to redirect all personal insults against me toward   
   the technical aspect of Apple software, which is why I've written about a   
   dozen threads to get us all to the technical depth that we need to be.   
      
   Some people are on Usenet for their amusement. I'm not here fore that.   
      
   I used to have 3 goals here, but now I only have only 2 goals:   
    1. To learn more by discussing how Apple products really work.   
    2. And to teach/disseminate that knowledge so that everyone learns it.   
      
   Please keep me to those goals for the entire year, as I will no longer   
   respond to the insults incessantly hurled as that detracts from the focus.
