   I've managed to compile everything on Linux now.  It seems I need a shared .a   
   file not a .so with the way I'm trying to use the library.  Its probably not   
   going to last though because as far as I know, I need to use something else on   
   MacOS.   
      
   However, my problem is that only the dump writer output is working.  It seems   
   that there is a problem playing audio with my VM host.  I'm looking into it   
   now.
