   Given that this mystery IP didn't show up the next time I rebooted (or   
   again just now (to test)), I consider that unlikely.  And grepping through   
   /etc I don't see any unexpected instances of either (a) the mystery IP, or   
   (b) the string "wlan".  Not that this is an exhaustive hunt.
