|    How to display a camera stream    |
|    02 Feb 26 13:57:00    |
From: bulleid@ku.gro.lioff              I'd like to place a camera (ideally a Pi Cam) inside an insulated,       heated cabinet so that I can monitor what it happening inside (with a 3D       printer). Originally I was hoping to be able to stream this, and then       watch using a browser on a PC, with local viewing achieved via a window       (real, not computer) in the cabinet. Unfortunately the heat losses       through the window mean that I've had to block it up with insulation.       Buying a double glazing unit to fit the hole seems a bit OTT.              So this brings me to plan B. What I'd like to do is to attach a screen       to the Pi (which is attached to the cabinet), and use that instead. My       question is how to do that. The Pi has neither mouse nor keyboard       attached to it, so I need a means of telling the Pi (ideally at boot       time) to display the camera stream on that display. How do I do that ?       I did consider a simple CCTV setup, but would that preclude remote       viewing ?              Also, any recommendations for a suitable display to use. Ideally       something no bigger than A5 as space is a tight.              Thanks              Adrian       --       To Reply :       replace "bulleid" with "adrian" - all mail to bulleid is rejected       Sorry for the rigmarole, If I want spam, I'll go to the shops       Every time someone says "I don't believe in trolls", another one dies.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
