   Back when I was programming an MAI/Basic 4, everything was tokenized.   
      
   You could type in   
      
   10FORI=1TO10   
   10 FOR I = 1 TO 10   
   10     FOR I = 1TO10   
      
   or anything else you could think of. When you typed 'list' you would get   
      
   0010 FOR I=1 TO 10   
      
   I remember someone watching over my shoulder while I was writing code. They   
   couldn't believe the mess on the screen, because I never used the spacebar.   
   There was absolutely no point.
