   If you want power, all you need is a 1A, 5VDC power adapter. The 3.5" drives   
   don't use 12V. I've seen them for a few bucks on ebay. If you want to try   
   something a bit easier, you can buy a kit that contains an IDE to USB   
   converter complete with a drive power supply for $10 at
