   VT-100 is based on ANSI and both have a lot of features that indeed could   
   not be emulated properly on a Model 4 without a hires board, such as   
   underline, bold and various graphics character sets.   
      
   However, I would imagine a reasonable (workable) subset could be emulated on   
   a stock M4 - it would depend on what you were connecting to at the other end   
   (for example, is it primarily cursor control that is required?).
