I would advice agains buying such, same as I do when there is no serialline.

IMHO some level of compatibility goes into being a PC.

But then I'm using a PC for more than web browsing and MP3 playing.

Someone could create a replacement native floppy driver for NT/2K/XP
which would have an interface for emulators to do their tricks.
Unfortunately I know nothing about creating windows drivers.

My workaround wit XP is to have a P200 PC on Win95 with net. It does
trs-80 floppies and talks rs-232 to the Apple, it is also the "bridge"
to my old pc's which use "thin" net. (BTW I scavenge and today I found
two "thick" to "thin" convertors. So maybe I can get my PS/2 on the
network too, it has a network card but only with "thick".)
