   A lot of the issues centered on the programming, not the output display,   
   although   
   there were display issues too.   
      
   Now, if the 2000 just had an easy way to 'multi-plane' and do 'auto   
   increment'...   
      
   By the way, if you used a mono display, you could make a simple jumper/cut   
   change to the board and now feed the second plane to the intensity bit on   
   the mono monitor in graphics mode.  But no software supported that (well,   
   one of the diags did, it put up a checkerboard on the mono screen with   
   alternating bright/shaded blocks), you'd have to bit-bang everything.
