   The way Tandy did drive selection (by pulling pins from the connector   
   and having all drives selected on the drive), the original 5 1/4 drive   
   almost certainly has all drive selects on.  Try turning off all but DS1   
   on it (to allow for the twist in the PC cable.)  Hopefully it isn't a   
   TPI drive that had all drive selects hard-wired rather than going   
   through a dip switch/jumper block.
