Oh, sorry, my mistake (memory failure). Good someone spotted it, thanks Tim.

   I don't have a 4P and have only used David Keil's emulator in 4P mode. I
do have the real ROM though which I could use with the emulator, so I
haven't used Cervasio's ROM much, now that I think about it, it is
possible this is the reason why I have the real ROM.

I would want to have a 4P too eventually but... (I do have the rest of
the family but am primarily a model I guy because of the video genie).

I still think 1K is enough especially if this SYS7/SYS is located at a
fixed track/sector (and not only its directory position is fixed).

   to Roberto:

I'm wondering if once the disk has been booted and loaded the SYS7/SYS
it then might be possible to boot a model I disk by executing RST 0 (so
the actual ROM isn't started, booting to the already loaded SYS7/SYS)
except the screen RAM is in the wrong place so it would appear to die,
but it might respond to keyboard input like a few enters and then dir
   should produce disk activity...

If the disk is model I compatible running NEWDOS+ in an emulator that
can do real disks should be able to read it straight. Anyway the
catweasel is probably a good choice.

Also about the copyright to the articles, if your guess is right they
would be throwing rocks in a glass house attacking you, drawing
attention to themselves and their crime. Even if it is too old it is
still bad publicity. Maybe it is better not to emphasize their role too
   much.

The more modern DOS'es like LDOS and DOSPLUS could probably run with a
screen driver accessing the screen RAM wherever. I'm running both of
these with a keyboard driver for a nice serial keyboard.
