From: theguitarmanSPAM@charter.net              Okay, I got the Fujitsu (model B03L-4505-0 240A) 3.5's working great as       drives 0 & 1. (these 2 drives cost me $15 shipped. I got them from eBay).       (After copying all the operating system disks I had from 5.25, over to 3.5")       I had to snip 2 of the pins on the bottom row (see picture) counting from       the left, pins 7 & 9 on each drive. Pin 7 was actually already gone when I       got the drives.       Then the jumpers for disk "0" is set on M1 on the left and 00 on the right.       The jumpers on disk "1" , M1 & M2 are left open and on the right 01       (see picture I posted earlier)              I just used a standard floppy ribbon cable, but did as instructed and       un-twisted the ribbon on the end connector.              Only one problem remaining. I can't seem to format disks to 80 cyl.       Formatting to 40cyl works great though.       Any ideas? :-)              Thanks!       -Chris              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
