   MSDOS 1.x I can't remember the exact version. It did not allow for   
   subdirectories so   
   it had a script to allow the massive 10 meg :) hard drive to be partitioned.   
   The first partition   
   was A:, the floppy drive was B:, then the HD was C:, D: etc.

   I had an IBM System 34 mini computer that had a juke box style floppy drive   
   that could   
   hold 20 x 1.2 meg 8" floppy disks, making up to 24 megs of floppys available   
   for   
   selection under software control. The System 34 was sold in the late 70s and   
   mine   
   had 130 megs of hard disk space.
