   Another good reason to keep some older hardware around. I had been using a   
   Pentium 233MMX computer for copying disks until the floppy controller died.   
   I've since "upgraded" to an ASUS board running a Pentium 3/866 with both   
   5.25" and 3.5" floppies. It dual boots into Win98 or XP. I boot it into   
   Linux when I need to back up a TiVo drive.   
      
   My newer hardware can boot from a USB device, so I have the emulator on a   
   DOS USB drive. Boots almost as fast as a real TRS-80. I can keep a lot of   
   floppy images on a 512MB thumb drive.
