   It depends on what you are trying to do, and I don't see   
   the base question here.   
      
   Note that if you don't have the original 8" hard disk   
   controller (type #1) and drives, NEITHER OS will work   
   properly.   
      
   If you don't have a hard disk, 4.0 won't boot.   
   If you don't have a hard disk and don't have a 68K card   
   set, 4.1 probably won't boot either.   
      
   If I recall correctly, both 4.0 and 4.1 floppies are   
   destructive boots, in that they will destroy the contents   
   of the hard disk if you don't stop them, and then proceed   
   to install a fresh system.
