When I first got a 3.5" drive for my Color Computer, I just hooked it
up and used it as is. It was a 3.5" 360K drive. It worked fine, just a
lot of wasted space. It was only a bit later that I got around to modifying
the driver descriptions in OS-9 to make use of the full space on the drive.
Until then, the computer never knew that a 3.5" and not a 5.25" drive
   was connected.

It was just a matter of adding a suitable connector to the ribbon cable
from the controller, or maybe at that point I had an adaptor so I could use
   the 5.25" type connectors.
