If there ever was an update I'd suggest to avoid the video       mode changes, as one point. The problem with the disks is XP's problem,       inherited from NT. Possibly one could write a windows XP driver for the       floppydrive with a TRS-80 mode, it would be allowed to access the       hardware directly, but this requires special knowledge and is beyond me,       at least.              SVD is probably the way to go (I'm waiting for it to get DSDD80       capability) but the serialport is also threatened. So SVD on USB? BTW       can the SVD be used with an USB to RS-232 adapter, have anyone tried?       USB to RS-232 has been a real disapointment to me, doesn't work with the       palm pilot, does work but very slowly on several applications.              > I guess it's all a matter as to what you are used to and prefer. The new version will be something       very different and versatile. I have lots of ideas but have restrained       myself quite much and will try to make a version as soon as possible       (don't hold your breath, it will still take some time) implementing only       a few of these ideas. :-)              --       Knut       (delete 'nogarbage.' for email)              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
