   The school I went to had a policy like that. Which is too bad: they   
   replaced a whole lab full of (at the time fairly decent) Sun Ultra 5s   
   the year after I left. They ended up in storage until they were of no   
   use to the school or anyone else, and are probably still there, even   
   though I would have gladly paid for one or more...   
      
   I did end up with a free DEC VT101 terminal, though :-)
