At one time they were all over the place. First the original CG didn't
have descenders. The RS lower case kit replaced that part with a new
part that had the descenders. At the same time RS switched over
production to put the CG in a socket. Techs then used to have drawers
   of the original CG chips.

Then as stock ran out in manufacture, they used the new CG chip with
descenders, but just didn't put on the extra RAM chip. So at that point
when machines were upgraded, there was a glut of the new CG chip
with descenders. Well, maybe not a glut, as a lot of people figured this
out. Then there was a shortage of RAM chips for a short while!

Where are you at? I still have some old parts but I don't know if I have
any of the CG chips anymore, but I'll look.
