   Indeed, yes, the WD1002S-WX2 is an 8-bit MFM controller card.  They use   
   the standard 34-pin / 20-pin MFM cable set.  I have been using them in   
   other PC clone's since 1985.  Perhaps you are thinking of RLL?  Though   
   those used the same type of cabling, also.
