|    Intermittant Drive 1 Detection    |
|    22 Aug 07 09:01:59    |
From: tlake@twcny.rr.com              On my Model III, drive 1 is only detected on one out of ten boots or so.       The drive light always comes on during the boot process so I know it's       getting some kind of signal. Could this be caused by dirty contacts?       The reason I ask is the keyboard was failing to register quite a few keys       but by pressing them and wiggling them with much force multiple times,       most keys are now solid and reliable again. I figure I wore off the film       of insulating grime on them. Could the same substance be on the drive       cable contacts?              Tom Lake              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
