Techncally, the non-disclosure and similar agreements with Tandy were
only good for ten years, so everybody who was with Tandy Electronics*
has been clear of entanglements with the old Tandy since 2003,
as TE* died first in 1993...

   * In January of 1993, and for the last six months of its existence, the
Tandy Electronics (TE) division was renamed "TE Eletronics" by the
dim-bulbs in Tower I to "help assist in taking it public". Upon being
repeatedly pressed to explain what the "E" in the new acronym stood for
which we mortals first read about first in the press release, that didn't
want to answer. We later found out that at the time they really didn't
see anything wrong with what they had done, calling the division
   "Tandy Electronics Electronics".

Stupid Stupid. Could be worse, they might have thought a bit longer and
come out with an even worse "Chinese Super Good Happy Golden Buffet"
   type name.

Alas, any significant work to write about that period would be a large
undertaking (assuming there was a publisher even vaguely interested),
and that effort is unlikely to replace the income from what I do now,
so any thoughts about such activity remains well off the radar. Still,
maybe an eager publisher might be interested and could jazz up the title
   to help sales, such as:

"Tandy Computers and the Deathly Hollow Merchies". (TM)
"Tandy Computers and the Order of the Merchies". (TM)
"Tandy Computers and the Chassis of Fire". (TM)

The last one has a nice chuckle to it and probably won't get me sued
too badly. Or, maybe a title I thought of years ago might still work:

"To catch a Merchie, make a noise like stupid." (TM) **

** I wonder How many would get that one... Lewis K doesn't count.
Gack, his mouse book is available on Amazon.

Oh, and a bit of current activity: The Tandy wire drawing plant
on 8th avenue in Fort Worth is no more, just a patch of dirt now.
It has been demolished in recent weeks.
