   But likely the obscure computer had something in its favor, something   
   unique that was worth having the ability to run the software. And   
   likely whoever wrote the emulators have some desire to see such a thing.   
      
   In other words, if someone themselves is interested in writing such   
   software, that's all they need. It doesn't matter that there's no   
   demand beyond themselves, since they are doing it for their own purposes.   
      
   A computer that runs generic business software isn't likely much interest.   
   A computer that is somehow unique, say the Jupiter Ace that looked like   
   a SInclair ZX-80 but ran FORTH, it was pretty unique to start with, and   
   a limited number were made. That sort of computer is likely far   
   more appealing to someone wanting to write an emulator than the   
   generic business computer.
