|    Program for viewing TRS tapes (mod I, le    |

From: di@di.di              Hello,       I had some TRS-80 tapes laying around and wondered if i could 'look'       what is on them using a PC in place of a real TRS-80.       Of course there are some programs around but these seem all to be in       good-old-DOS. So i started to write a program in Visual Basic 6.       Based on a recording (wav file) of the information on the TRS-80 tape       (500 Baud) the program tries to decode the data and produces       a .cas file that can be used in an emulator. During the decoding       process all kind of information is given including an       oscilloscope display of the pulses. Also the program provides       information so you can 'repair' the recording if some bad pulses show       up.       Although the program was written as a 'proof of concept' it might be       handy for other TRS-80 model I, level 2 enthusiasts.       Note the VB6 program (CasWafTool. exe) needs an OCX program:       comdlg32.ocx, and no installation is required. Please read the Readme       file for additional information.       If interested you can download the program from:       www.geocities.com/butchijo/TRS.html       (Capital sensitive)       Bu              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
