It is because of "jerks" like you that Ira had to       change his site to a single download at a time. Why? Because bandwidth cost       money. Real money that he wasn't getting in donations despite the fact that       some people did donate.              Ira spent vasts amount of time and money making all the software, manuals, and       magazines that people sent him available to the public for free. And you with       your "site grabber" took advantage of him and probably cost him money too.              Now, since you have an archive if his whole site why don't you host it       somewhere for all to download (somewhere permanent and well laid out I might       add). In other words, put up or shut up.              As for Ira himself, he mailed TRS-DOS disks to me when I had none, and some       comms software on disk on another occassion. He mailed these items to me       without any upfront payment for his costs (postage, materials) and simply said       asked me to donate what I feel is appropriate when I get the disks.              I was watching one of the first few episodes of the TV show Jericho where the       town had a BBQ using the last remaining food in the local grocery store (as       there was no power). When most of the town folk had finished eating someone       remarked to the store owner (this is a small town, small store) that the BBQ       had gone well and everyone had enjoyed themselves. The store owner agreed but       commented that not one person had thank her. This whole thread reminds me of       that scene. Can you figure out which character you are?              Regards,       Doug       --       The Ville - Where 8-bits meet 32.
