   Found the problem. I re-compiled the linux source under windows, and the   
   code that is writing the binary dump output is using putc and (under   
   windows) inserting carriage-returns after $0A... which explains the   
   occasional offset...   
      
   Actually I'm surprised HEADON runs under M3 at all... admittedly I've only   
   scratched the surface of the disassembly, but it's checking $37E0 for the   
   RTC interrupt...
