   Hi there Frank - Thanks for the tips!  One of the concerns I had with   
   using alcohol is that on a similar switches you can actually remove the   
   conductive properties of the carbon or rubber contact.  I've also found   
   that you can apply a thin layer with a key contact repair kit.  However,   
   that would be worst case.  Since most of the keys aren't working its   
   going to be quite a bit of work to get it going again.  It would be   
   easier to just swap in a new keyboard, but I'd rather not be wasteful.
