   Because their quantity has significantly diminished while there appears   
   to be still some demand.   
      
   It's no different from old computers.  If they were common, and demand   
   is low, then you can get them for a dime.  If they weren't common and   
   demand is high, then price goes up.  If they were common, but a lot of   
   people trashed them because they saw no future value in them, then their   
   current price can go up if demand is sufficient.
