   From what I gather, these simple adapters won't work...at least not with   
   most (and all new?) VGA monitors.  As I understand it, CGA is a digital TTL   
   signal, VGA is an analog signal - so you have to do the conversion.   
      
   Or has someone had success with such adapters?
