   Look at the RS-232 connector.  If it's facing downward, you have a   
   non-gate-array.   
   If it's facing the back, you have a gate-array.  Also, if your screen   
   characters are   
   green rather than white, it's gate-array although I don't know if there   
   were any white display, gate-array machines made.
