LS-DOS 6.3.1A for Model II source restor
   29 Sep 14 12:35:07

   Good afternoon, group.

I actually have a couple of things, the first one being administrivia.

Does anyone know of a public NNTP server with comp.sys.tandy?

Ok, the main thing. I'm working on a reconstruction of the source code for
LS-DOS 6.3.1A for the Model II. I'd really like to touch base with Frank
Durda IV about it, but none of the e-mails I've tried work. I have so far
   extracted the bootloader from
the single-density 128 bytes-per-sector track 0, and have made great progress
in disassembling and commenting that portion. The progress has been enough to
where, using this disassembly in-hand and working through the debugger found
   in MESS I was able
to find the bug that was preventing MESS >0.147 from booting LS-DOS 6.3.1A (it
boiled down to improper detection and handling of deleted data address marks
as used on the LS-DOS directory track). Current SVN of MESS will once again
   boot LS-DOS 6.3.1
most of the time (there is a condition which I'm still tracing that causes the
keyboard to be dead on boot; if the initial LS-DOS splash screen flashes on
screen, goes away, then comes back the keyboard will work, but if it comes
   straight up it won't).

So, Frank, if you happen to be reading this, I would love to ask you a couple
of questions if you don't mind.
